About the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund

Danielle serves as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Augusta. Under her leadership, the Fund is working to create a lasting legacy that honors the service and sacrifice of veterans while providing a place of remembrance for their families and the CSRA community.

A retired U.S. Army veteran with 21 years of military service, Danielle brings more than two decades of experience in national security, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, and defense advisory work. She currently serves as a Senior Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton, where she helps expand cyber capabilities across the U.S. Army enterprise. Before joining Booz Allen, she was a Founding Partner of A3D Advisory Group, providing cybersecurity, threat intelligence, and risk advisory services to the energy, water, and telecommunications sectors.

Danielle has dedicated her career to service, first in uniform and later helping protect the nation's critical infrastructure. She lives in the CSRA with her family and enjoys supporting her children's activities, including lacrosse and youth group. As Chairwoman, she is leading the Fund's Phase 1 fundraising efforts, including the Carillon Tower, which will stand as a lasting tribute to the veterans laid to rest at the cemetery.

Gary serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund. Born in Germany to an Army family, he moved to Augusta after his family was stationed at Fort Gordon in 1972. After graduating from Butler High School in 1981, Gary joined the Marine Corps before beginning a career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. During that time, he also served in the Georgia National Guard.

In 2007, Gary returned to active duty with the U.S. Army. Over a military career spanning 31 years, he served in Lebanon, Bosnia, Iraq, Haiti, and Afghanistan before retiring in 2017. Since then, he and his wife, Alison, have remained active volunteers with several veterans organizations throughout the CSRA.

Gary believes every veteran deserves a dignified final resting place close to home, where family and friends can honor their service in a setting that reflects the sacrifices they made for our country.

John serves as Treasurer of the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund Board of Directors. He recently retired from the U.S. Army after 32 years of military service, finishing his career as a Brigadier General. His final assignment was Deputy Commanding General for Operations at U.S. Army Cyber Command.

John serves as Director of Business Development for Maayu Government Solutions, where he helps develop new opportunities that strengthen support for Soldiers and defense programs.

John and his family live in Appling, Georgia, where they enjoy spending time outdoors and cheering on their children at sporting events. He is proud to support the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund and its mission to provide veterans and their families with a place of honor, remembrance, and lasting respect.

Andrew J. Gonzalez serves as Secretary of the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund, supporting the organization's mission to establish and sustain a dignified final resting place for veterans and their eligible family members throughout the Central Savannah River Area.

A retired military veteran, Andrew brings more than two decades of experience in national security, intelligence operations, cybersecurity, enterprise resilience, and executive risk advisory. He is the Co-Founder of A3D Advisory Group, an Augusta-based firm that provides cyber risk, intelligence integration, critical infrastructure resilience, and executive decision support services to government and industry clients. Before founding A3D, he held senior leadership positions with U.S. Army Cyber Command and the Joint Special Operations Command, where he led global intelligence and cyber operations.

Andrew's military service and professional experience have centered on helping others prepare for complex challenges and protect what matters most. As Board Secretary, he brings that same thoughtful approach to supporting the Fund's leadership and advancing its long-term mission. He lives in the Augusta area and remains committed to serving veterans, military families, and the CSRA community.

Brendan England serves as General Manager of the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, where he oversees operations for the 372-room hotel and the Augusta Convention Center's 80,000 square feet of meeting space. In this role, he works closely with ownership, Marriott leadership, and local officials to ensure the continued success of one of Augusta's premier hospitality destinations.

Before coming to Augusta, Brendan held leadership positions with Marriott, Hilton, and IHG properties across the country. Most recently, he served as Regional Director of Operations for Shamin Hotels in Virginia Beach and previously led the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside through a major renovation and successful conversion to a Marriott property. Over more than 20 years in hospitality, he has managed full-service hotels, convention properties, and large food and beverage operations.

Brendan and his wife, Leslie, are active members of Wesley Methodist Church, where Leslie serves as Hospitality Director. He also serves on the boards of Destination Augusta and the Georgia Hotel & Lodging Association. Brendan enjoys coaching his sons' lacrosse team, cheering on his children in their activities, and spending time with his family.

He is honored to support the Fund's mission and help ensure the CSRA has a place where veterans and their families are remembered with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Kat Johnson serves as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, where she oversees sales, marketing, and strategic partnerships. In her role, she works with corporate clients, associations, government agencies, and sports organizations to bring meetings, conventions, and conferences to the Central Savannah River Area.

Before joining the Augusta Marriott, Kat spent 15 years as General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn, where she built extensive experience in hotel operations, sales, marketing, financial management, and team leadership. Throughout her hospitality career, she has developed a strong appreciation for building relationships and creating partnerships that strengthen both businesses and the community.

Kat is dedicated to serving the CSRA and currently serves on the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund Board of Directors, the Wilson Family YMCA Board, and the Augusta Sports Council Board. She is also an active member of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, Kat enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children's activities, including junior golf, school athletics, and competitive cheerleading. She believes strong communities are built through service, leadership, and investing in the next generation.

Thomas Pinkney serves on the Board of Directors for the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund after a lifetime of service to veterans and the Augusta community. A retired U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of honorable service, he has remained deeply involved in supporting veterans through leadership and volunteer work.

Thomas has been a member of The American Legion for 19 years and currently serves as the Department of Georgia Senior Vice Commander for the 2027 Legion year. During his years with the Legion, he has served as District Commander, District Vice Commander, and Commander of both American Legion Post 235 and Post 505. He is also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Forty and Eight, and ANAVICUS.

Following his military career, Thomas retired from Augusta National Golf Club after serving in several food and beverage leadership roles and also worked within the VA Health System. He is proud to continue serving veterans by helping build a lasting legacy that honors their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our nation.

Linda Roach serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund and as Commandant of the Marine Corps League Riverfront Marines Detachment 1132 in North Augusta, South Carolina. In that role, she leads volunteers who support hospitalized and disabled veterans, Toys for Tots, Wreaths Across America, Meals on Wheels, scholarships, and many other community programs.

After 30 years of service, Linda retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9). She later helped establish the Augusta Vet Center, assisting with everything from selecting the facility to coordinating its opening. She also served as Administrative Program Support for VISN 7 at the Augusta VA Medical Center, supporting regional administrative operations.

Today, Linda continues her lifelong commitment to service through the Marine Corps League, American Legion Post 71, and the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery Board. She is also active in her church, where she teaches children's Bible school. Linda enjoys reading, traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her daughter. She lives in North Augusta with her husband, David Jimmerson.

For Linda, serving veterans has never been just a profession. It has been a lifelong calling that continues through her work with the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund.

Abigail serves as Communications and Marketing Coordinator for the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund, leading the organization's communications and social media efforts to help raise awareness of its mission and strengthen connections throughout the community.

A graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Abigail is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Communication. Her background includes supporting communications and social media initiatives for nonprofit organizations and community-focused projects throughout South Carolina, where she developed a passion for strategic communication, digital marketing, storytelling, and community engagement.

As the daughter of a Navy veteran, Abigail has a personal appreciation for the sacrifices made by military members and their families. She is proud to use her communication skills to help preserve their stories, strengthen community support, and share the mission of the CSRA Veterans Cemetery Fund.
